Ki-O-Rahi and Māori Mythology

Ki-O-Rahi is a beautiful game that symbolizes the Māori mythology of Rahi, and the Māori creation myth, and the spiritual journey one makes upon death. Thus, the game is not a conflict but a cosmic dance between creation, journey, challenge, and return.

Does More Skill Equal Less Fun?

I assumed that due to it’s less competitive nature, this game would allow them to play loose and have fun, and not take the game seriously.
